Obtaining a real estate broker’s license in New York requires at least two years of experience as a licensed salesperson or at least three years in the real estate field, or a combination of both that meets the minimum points. Before applying to the Division of Licensing Services, candidates must also have completed of a 75-hour broker course that covers real estate law, office management, real property investment and more.
